The Wayne Masonic Lodge #112 will be helping children and parents at Wheelfest this
August. They will be provoding a free child identification program. The program will be open to the public from
10am until 5pm on August 28-29, at the Wayne Activity and Banquet Center.
The child ID program only takes about 10
minutes per child. There will be a series of stations set up to make the process simple. Each "Child ID Kit"
includes a photo ID card for parents to carry, a color photo, digital fingerprints, a recorded interview, a dental impression,
DNA from cheek cells, dog scents, and an Amber Alert profile. The program is considered one of the most
comprehensive of it's kind by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Having all of the items included
in the kit can be helpful for police if the dreaded time comes to search for as missing child.
